Goddess Haven eCourse: Week 1

13. juni 2013

So, I’m in the middle of week 1 in Leonie Dawson’s lovely Goddess Haven eCourse (affiliate link), and I thought it would be nice to share with you how it goes!

This week has been all about preparations and dreaming up my lovely Goddess home. I just moved here, so I’m still fairly happy about the way things are – albeit a bit chaotic underneath the surface. But at the same time, this is the first time I’ve lived alone (except for my daughter) in 8 years. This could really, really be my very own Goddess Haven, and I’m grabbing the opportunity with both hands!

To think – after all this chaos of homelessness, after all this stress… a true Goddess Haven to restore my balance! What more can you possibly dream after having lived for months in boxes in your ex’s basement, right?

So I went with it.

Besides dreaming and prepping and planning, Leonie asked us to set up an altar this week. This was fairly easy for me to do, because I already had one in place. But the inspiration took over, and after clearing the space and cleaning all the items, I found myself rearranging it and making it even more beautiful than it already was.

One of the questions on the worksheet was:

If your altar was a prayer, what would the prayer be?

…and that set me going, for sure!

I got out all my crystals and stones, I got out all my candles… and after a bit of cleansing, playing, arranging and rearranging, my altar was brand new and sparkly beautiful.

It is placed in the corner between my couch and the TV, so I can see it whenever I sit down to relax.

And my Goddess, it’s beautiful right now. My heart sings a bit every time I look at it.

Look! 🙂

In the back, there are two candles, symbolizing both the masculine and the feminine (aka the God and the Goddess), and the element of fire.

Then, there’s my white owl of wisdom.

The element of water, the element of earth (a potpourri and a piece of ebony),  and a small vase with an incense stick for the element of air, and a beautiful smokey quartz for general cleansing.

And in the middle, a green spell candle, surrounded by various stones. On the right, there is a pink opal, an ametrine, a moonstone and an amethyst, and on the left there is a raw jade, a raw aventurine, a raw garnet and a pyrite cube cluster. They all come together by the aventurine heart in between.

Can you guess what my prayer is?

I really loved this first week of the Goddess Haven eCourse (affiliate link), even if I’m not quite done yet – I still add to my list, and still dream and plan a bit.

Five more weeks to go – yay! 🙂

    1. Thank you. 🙂 Yeah, I just sit here watching it right now, it’s so beautiful and exactly right, you know?

    1. Oh yes, it’s a beautiful thing! 🙂 I’m already behind, as life happened again and my ex came over with a million boxes containing my books and such, so I’ve been busy sorting those out the last few days. Not complaining, though, I’ve kinda missed them! 🙂
